Being prepared for disasters and emergencies can seem like a big job. Many people don't know where to start, so they never start at all. With Do 1 Thing you can take small steps that make a big difference in an emergency.

Do 1 Thing is a 12-month program that makes it easy for you to prepare yourself, your family, and your community for emergencies or disasters.  Go to www.do1thing.com for more information.

The Police Department will be handing out free Do1Thing 2012 calendars during regular business hours while supplies last.

A message from the Chief of Police:

Greetings to our visitors, friends and neighbors. Welcome to one of the safest communities in Michigan. Crime is half of what it was thirty (30) years ago and major crime is almost non-existent. The men and women of this department take a personal interest in crime fighting. They spend a lot of time being pro-active; to prevent crime before it occurs. Our "team" is committed to serving the entire population equally and with the utmost respect.

Feel free to contact us with suggestions, information or any questions you may have.

Remember we treat our youth as we would want our own child treated -- so should you.

Police Department Motto:

“Committed in partnership with the community
For a better and safer place to live”
